Happy Sabbath

Greetings,
Today is Sabbath and I made may way to the Tokyo International Church where I had a wonderful time. I was greeted warmly and met people from many countries. I attended the English service. After Sabbath School I was inivited to stay for lunch which was delicious. It isn't easy learning how to eat with chopsticks as that is what they give you to eat. There were other visitors there and we had a great time chatting. Several of them know Hartland students from Lauren's (my daughter's) college, these are young people that I also know, as they are in my daughters choir and they have visited our home in New Jersey. It is a small world and I am so blessed to be a member of a church where, no matter where I go I am always welcomed as family.
After lunch I was on my own so I walked through the crowded street markets to a beautiful shinto shrine. This was in a wooded park. The woods are lush, and teem with birds and crickets. The weather is balmy and very warm, I think it will rain tonight. It has been a great day to just enjoy being in Japan.
Love,
Barbara
